I miss The Hidden Sound village and when we didn't know who Tobi was. I don't mind him being Obito or anything (Izuna would've been so much worse) but I miss that awesome mask and the mystery of genuinely having no idea who the hell this guy was.

I miss the creative character designs, Anko, and Part 1 Naruto.

It was also cooler when rank was involved. It used to almost be a priveledge to see Jounin's fight, and when the characters had dreams of getting their rank now. Now nobody cares and just does whatever.

I miss every supporting character of the K11 getting their moments. And characterization and character interaction was seriously relegated to a secondary role for the sake of more action (which is good and bad).

people like Kimimaro, Zabuza, Haku were actually being dangerous.
strategic battles.
characterization of different characters.
the questioning of different concepts.
battles being epic without shooting power blasts.
touching moments without forcing any emotions.
balanced power levels...

I also miss Jiraiya and Neji.

As many stated , balanced power levels. Do you remember those chills Rock lee vs gaara gave ? When Byakugan was the "eye that sees everything" while sharingan was the " eye that copies"? When people got stronger by physical practice and not going around and stealing dead people's eyes? When Yondaime was rarely mentioned and his face was always hidden? When readers actually had respect for Iruka and he wasn't the first troll target after tenten and ramen guy? When few akatsuki were revealed and seemed like monstrous invincible criminals and now hidan for example isn't even top 30?When Naruto learnt with difficulty the rasengan that stressed his arm and threw people miles away, and then after hard training managed to create rasenshuriken, which damaged his arm severely (now he goes around spamming rasen shurikens and creating dozens of clones with making yoga-ball sized rasengans without even sweating)? When tobi was a good boy? When Naruto got 1-4 tail cloak due to anger and going in awesome rampages? When you could be a really powerful shinobi no matter your clan, dojutsu, dna or being a jinchuriki(name one current top 10 character that doesn't have one of these). I could keep going all day , but we must adapt to changes. The manga/anime is still awesome just it is starting to get near dbz level, while it used to be more toned down.

Yes. Everything the homie said. Been a while since i was diggin a scrap like gaara and lee. And 7 vs zabuza and haku. The only real fight in shippuden, no powerups and clans and bijuus and crap was sasori. Darn shame

I miss Taijutsu, and close combat Kenjutsu in general battles. Good writing that was mostly free from drab, redundant, and rubbish Shonen Cliches and actually tried to steer the plot in some direction. I miss Naruto as a decent, hopeful kid, not this bull-charging, peace monger. I miss Orochimaru's 'ku ku kus'. Just to name a few.
