Anyone watched/watching The Punisher on Netflix?

A friend keeps recommending me the show but I'm just like ugh and I'm watching the good place right now, that's a great show.

The entire series was one big "yo, this guy knows magic? thats craaaazy" reaction. Like it was ashamed of it's own source material and never got past it. They kept doing that disbelief nonsense up until the end, so it feels like the actual gang dynamic never got started.

All 4 of them added nothing interesting or of variety in the action scenes. Elektra's motivations are vague and contradictory and Sigourney Weaver is wasted to repeating a couple of cliches. The interactions were like cookie-cutter Avengers and the final episode was a big joke.

hmm, I agree a bit, I did feel like they should have done more with the Iron Fist, the Hand, K'un Lun, and the Black Sky. I was annoyed they really didn't explain the Black Sky well. They could have, should have expanded on the mystical elements more. They even let the end of the Chaste happen off-panel. Do you think it was a budget issue?
