It had come to my attention a long while back the relatively similar abilities of Jugo's clan, and that of the Ten-Tailed One Eyed Deity, Tree God.
This chapter we learn that Jugo's clan can gather natural energy, and perform senjutsu. Enhanced by Orochimaru's experimentation, Jugo and Orochimaru can absorb natural energy, and chakras from sage mode users. The ability also allows the user to drain from a sage mode enhanced tailed beast chakra form, and as well as physically feed off of human beings.
Here is the debut of the clan's "Body Absorption technique". The ability allows the user to extend a branch-like protuberance from the body, places it onto a target while proceeding to "sucking out their chakra", along with organs and/or flesh which he uses to restore his own chakra and body. The Tree God form was trying to physically absorb naruto whole. It fed off of the shinobi alliances's chakras, cloaks, and life force as well, growing pass the earth's atmosphere in the process fully restoring it's original from.
Jugo can use this ability to give life to sasuke against killer B.
As Jugo said about his copies, I believe it has to do with Orochimaru's derived Cursed seal sage transformation jutsu. Jugo and Sasuke are not targeted by the tree.
Naruto sees this, and is skeptical of it. Any ideas on why this is?:Omg:
