Anyone still upset about no stats in the Databook?

I still can't get over waiting five years to get a 'new direction' of the databook..

I was really looking forward to seeing Hashirama as the only shinobi with a perfect score, then Madara having the second best and probably about ten others tied for like the third best..

At least we could've had more info on Minato so we could have more proof to help us decide which is better between him and Itachi.. Or I would like to know if Naruto caught up to Sasuke or even passed him.. I just feel cheated.

Trouble with databook stats is that they only account for Base states.

So in the case of Minato vs. Itachi, it will fully account for Minato since he didn't have any (usable) enhanced states whereas Itachi has 3T Sharingan and Mangekyou Sharingan.

it wouldn't be fun if there were stats, I like manga facts better. Plus there is more tension in debates when there isn't any stats to prove your point, so you would need manga facts to support your answer

Not at all. They were pretty inaccurate most of the time and only showed us their base stats.

Where was it stated to only accounts for base stats? Did it say that in the databook?

That's the problem with putting values to power scaling. They change so often and its unpredictable when soandso will suddenly increase from genin level to over hokage level power wise with one cheap flashback. Personally I think after a certain point anyone could potentially beat anyone once the reach a certain level, its a matter of circumstance.

Databooks have and always will be just for hype.

The stats could use an update. The last time we saw them was in volume 43 (Pre invasion of Konoha by Pein and just after Sasuke killed Itachi).

With what we've seen the K12 do in the war, all of them need to be updated.

Comparing the Leaf sensei to the Sannin, all of them (with the exception of Kurenai) are in spitting distance of Sannin. But by feats, the K12 should all be in the 30's (40's for Naruto and Sasuke) by the war arc.

Mah, maybe we're better off without those stats in the last databook. The stats would have been contradicted by manga facts or manga panels and a lot of fans would rage as "it's too high of stats for a fodder" or "it's inaccurate because he showed better feats for that."

Include the rage of the pairing fans and you'll get yourself a full scale war on both side.

Basically what databook stats were proving were:

1) Base stats of shinobi(no chakra enhacements, NO KG(only passive atributtes), no doujutsu etc. )
2) They did NOT show which character is STRONGER. INSTEAD they SHOWED how WELL ROUNDED SHINOBI IS.

Why Kishi rejected idea of using databook stats is simple:

1) People used databook stats as stats for character with all upgrades/boosts
2) people used databook stats to prove which character is stronger.

All the above is wrong, because if take for example Gai would have godly strength, speed and taijutsu then he would kill ALL WELL ROUNDED SHINOBI, even although his other stats would be weaker.
