I have studied Japanese for around 1 and a half year now(Currently in Japanese Intermediate level)

And when i watch anime i sometimes notice the subtitles are incorrect

Like some of them doesnt even translate it correctly

I remember some simple sentences which were incorrect too like there was the scene in which a person said "Do you have a cold?"

The subtitles translate it to "are you sick?"

I have seen many other instances like this too a lot but i dont remember them now

There are some minor ones too like

"Will you help me out with this?" while the subtitles translate it to "Can you give me a hand?"

Tho i dont really consider them as mistakes since they literally means the same ^

I do know that sometimes that you cant compare japanese to english like some of the grammatical particles

But still i wonder why they make some mistakes like this

They probably just make quick translations and not focus much on the little details. Dialogues like the ones you mentioned aren't further translated, as they aren't considered really important.

The incorrect ones i mentioned

You know how some people like learning japanese through Anime

So instead of " are you sick?" He might even ask "Do u have a cold?"

Like it can give the person the wrong idea

Well i dont like tht tho xD

Or maybe its just me being too careful about grammar and stuff

It's cool you're learning Japanese and all but this is nitpicking.

I can too relate to that, though my knowledge of this language comes alone from hearing it with eng subs.

This ^^
To op : plus you maybe translated it word by word directly while the translator takes a whole sentence and translate indirectly based on situation.

For example urusai means you are too loud/please be quiet if translated directly. But in naruto anime sasuke used it to sakura to say her annoying(an act to make her silent). It is depends on situation too. But the meaning is not differs much that you can confuse usually.

Maybe because english is your first language?
