I know the 2 characters are very hated. Possibly most-hated, in this manga. But I actually liked them, from what little we saw of them.....for 5 chapters :yeah:.

Anyone else out there who like, or were interested in learning more, on the KinGin Brothers?

They weren't supposed to be huge characters, but I thought they could have had potential. And even if they weren't meant to stick around long personally, I think they are Kishi's most neglected/mistreated villains.

And I definitely think they're underrated a bit harshly simply because of the short battle they had, and the short battle was with a character many liked, so he gets all the praise.

Don't hate them at all but don't care for them much either, They have part of Kurama's chakra and maybe would be been interesting them fighting against Naruto or maybe not.

I wish they were treated a bit better. Kishi hyped them like crazy, but then expected them to live off that hype, while not giving them a good showing for their skill. It's like he thought the characters from Journey to the West could be good for his story, with the weapons, but didn't want to spend too much time on the characters. And for characters from such a classic tale, you'd think he wouldn't have shafted them so badly.

I thought they were strong Kage level ninja. We just didn't get to see much of it. All the Edos weren't treated that well. But some of them got decent showings and time when alive. KinGin didn't. I would have liked to see more back-story. The databook says they did a number of misdeeds, and crimes, against people. So apparently it was more than just the coup d'etat that they messed up on.

But they apparently were the Shining Lights before then. I have to wonder if Kurama's chakra may have effected them, and they got more corrupt and arrogant under influence of the chakra.
