Anyone else wonder why exactly Mitsuki would have to leave if he showed SM?

I've been thinking about this. How exactly would it inconvenience Orochimaru or make Mitsuki have to leave if Mitsuki showed his true power in the chunin exams? I don't get it really.

It's not like there aren't already several people that know that Mitsuki is Orochimaru's kid. For those that don't know (about him being Orochimaru's kid), sage mode alone wouldn't really give it away. If anything, you'd think that all of Mitsuki's snake jutsus would give it away before he even went SM.

Just what exactly are Orochimaru/Mitsuki really being so cautious about?

He'd have to leave because it'd bring to much attention to him and ultimately too much attention to Oro, who's supposed to be dead or gone or whatever. A genin with sage jutsu will do that lol

He would be too overpowered and would definitely not be a genin. It may earn the ire of the other nations once they start asking questions on Mitsuki, Naruto may have been forved to send him back to Orochimaru to avoid any tensions. However there's no guarantee he'd be seperated from his beloved but he couldn't chance it or take the risk. You should've seen his eyes when he looked at Boruto that episode those eyes gave away his feelings.

Most logical answer I've read since the question began. I'm convinced that that's why. It just would be a waste for him to stick around Genin's when his caliber doesn't allow it. But what will challenge your logic is if Shinki still remains a Genin when he's showcased comfortably above Chuunin level skills.

Shinki would be the only true opponent bourto could full 100% fight. Like cmon bourto is a the pussy jock type. Bourto doesnt fight with his friends full power hence the lost to shikadai or else we would have seen the rasengan. Mitsuki knew shinki would be a great obstacle for bourtos evolution or bourtos skills.

The fact that Orochimaru told Mitsuki he must not reveal his true strength during exams, makes me think if this is really only about SM. Either his SM is so strong, or Mitsuki got something more up his sleeves and he's much more stronger than we already know. Either that or it's just SM and Orochimaru is being real cautious for some reason.
