I honestly can't be the only one in this entire forum, otherwise it would be quite a damn shame. Back on topic, but I was personally wondering if there is anyone else out there that watches the Ace Attorney Anime on Crunchyroll?

Anyone who has known me for a good while now on this site is quite aware that I am a fan of the franchise as a whole, and have talked about it numerous times. The fact that there's finally an anime adaptation now makes me quite excited to see the cases I played over a decade now on the Nintendo DS being in an animated format.

I watch the first episode. I like lawyer shows and I like that it is animated, but for some reason, this one is something I cannot get into.

The later episodes will truly surprise you if you never played the games it's based on, to realize that it's more than just a "lawyer show". ^^

The series does interest me, do I need to play the games in order to understand everything, or can I get into it as a newbie?

You can get into it as a newbie, since it's essentially a re-telling of what happened in the first three games.
