I was just googling old naruto games like naruto dragon blade chronicles and got depress at thinking how the modern games seem like such s word in comparison to the old and just came to ask this do some feel exactly as I about this. Or am I just a nostalgia drunk who doesn't see the good in the new ones please give me some good answers please.

Storm games are by no means bad for an anime game series (which is bound to be shit due to the harder criticism it would receive from the fandom). Though I enjoy the Ultimate Ninja ones

I wouldn't advise buying them, but they are really bit bad by anime games category standards

While the storm games may not be the most fulfilling in terms of combat gameplay, I personally think they are probably the best anime video games in regards to the campaigns. The stunning visuals and extreme faith to the source material make the games very easy to play and reexperience the story of Naruto from the beginning. Add those two factors to the over the top boss battles and you have one hell of a franchise if you're looking for a good story mode, like I do.

Other than that though, I used to love Uzumaki chronicles when I was younger - though I doubt the two games would still hold up XD And as much as I love the Storm games, Rise of a Ninja and Broken Bonds on the Xbox 360 by Ubisoft are still my absolute favorite Naruto games. Great visuals, in depth combat, faithful to the source material (with filler missions to pad up content), and great online tag-team play.

I'm very much looking forward to the future of Naruto games, as I believe CC2 only has the licence for 2-3 more titles. After that, if the information I read is correct, then CC2 is done with the license and its back up for grabs meaning someone else will make more games. I personally hope that Ubisoft takes the reins once again and continues their franchise of Naruto games into Shipuuden. That I think would rival the Storm games if not best them.

I liked Broken Bond and Rise of a Ninja best. They had a free world exploration and they way you performed your jutsu was a neater way.

Always wanted to play Broken Bond but the DS games and the fight system of Ultimate Ninja were appalling.

I prefer the newer stuff and the Storm series are the only games I largely play these days.

We need a Naruto game where we create an Avatar and choose a village clan and name and choose to become Kage, Akatsuki, ANBU, missing nin or just serial killer

Maybe joining seven ninja swordsmen or the sound ninja 5 Or maybe just a jounin sensei wouldn't be too bad either and I would live to live alongside Naruto as. A new creative character

Broken bonds was the sh t!!!! that combat system was actually a lil better suited for online play imo, it had some nuance to it
