Itachi was confirmed to have a lover prior Uchiha massacre (he was going to have an arranged marriage w/ some random Uchiha girl later on). Shisui and Itachi were just best friends.

I'm not convinced. Pretty sure they're a little too friendly. It would fit Itatchi well, he kind of sets off the gaydar a bit. too bad Shisui gave him aids though...
