Good morning,

Getting your jimmies rustled by Kishimoto is something very common with him.

The second time I got rustled was when Kakashi decided to focus more on Sasuke's training rather than Naruto's.

I remember it left a bit of scent that could be felt throughout the manga/anime as how Kakashi looked down(figuratively) on Naruto. As if Naruto was kinda low and didn't need that much of attention at the time being.

Wish you a nice day,
Bogdan

Who cares about Kakashi when you have Jiraiya?

Kakashi is his teacher. Jiraya was more like that type of teacher which you pay to come to your home and bla bla.. (Just kdding)

Don't get me wrong Jiraya is great; when I realized that he will train Naruto.. What can I say.. a Wonderful day.

Still, with Kakashi, as a reader you managed to create a connection with his character. Seeing this person focusing more on someone considered to be a secondary character, at that time, didn't felt too great.

Would've been cool from my point of view if Kakashi would've focused on Naruto.

Kakashi related to Sasuke far more. That's why he had naruto train with the elite trainer who was supposed to be a better teacher than himself.

Kakashi looked out for Naruto by not subjecting him to training that wouldn't maximize his potential. The second Naruto was able to keep up, Kakashi trained him in part 2.

May be because he and sasuke had same chakra nature; lightning. Or it might be because kakashi considered naruto > sasuke so he focused on sasuke in order to make him stronger.

You also have to remember that at the time Naruto wasn't in any danger, while Sasuke was being hunted by one of the strongest men in the world, all while Sasuke was power hungry and ready to go off the deep end if he didn't progress quickly.

Learning the Rasengan seemed to rustle even more jimmies. (including Kakashi's).:bdpf:

OT : In all honesty, it worked out well. Though I wish Jiraiya wouldn't have focused most of the time on Naruto training to control Kurama, considering not much got done. :|

Because they have the same chakra nature is a good reason.
He could've maximized Sasuke's potential while he knew Jiraya could maximize Naruto's potential.

Still, I'm talking about that moment. We all know why stuff happened and how they happened.

Probably I'm the only one who wanted Kakashi to focus on Naruto in the first part of the series.

Would have been nice seeing Kakashi teach Naruto Raikiri and how to properly use his Sharingan.

Sorry but akatsuki were after naruto not sasuke. Kisame and itachi both invaded konoha and tried to capture naruto or it was just the warning. Whatever it was, but the fact is that they were after naruto not sasuke.

And? That was well after the chuunin exam, which itself is after the period of time we're referring to.

This thread comes up all the time.

IMO Kakashi made the right call because Naruto could train under anyone and Sasuke needed a lot of attention from someone who had a sharingan and could relate to his loss. This wasn't only to make Sasuke stronger but to keep him occupied and away from vengeance.

Ebisu was a training specialist and he was good choice by Kakashi to train Naruto because Naruto's basics sucked ass. kakashi was proven right because throughout all of part 1 Naruto couldn't finish a fight on his own and had to use Kurama and even Jiraiya had to fix Naruto's basics after a while.

Naruto's basics were unbalanced with his age at that time because of Kurama's entity.

Yes, I also felt something in my heart too at that time. I also wanted kakashi to focus more on naruto as at that time kakashi was seem to be very strong and cool as well. And first thought came across my mind was that he looked down on naruto. And he is gonna make sasuke stronger.

But later on when kakashi trained naruto in part 2 redeemed it for me XD.

Jiraiya isn't hungry for money though. You will just have to find him, but in any case he covered Kakashi's failures as a sensei. Jiraiya is much more open and less ambigious when it comes to directions.

Still, with Kakashi, as a reader you managed to create a connection with his character. Seeing this person focusing more on someone considered to be a secondary character, at that time, didn't felt too great.
Pt 1 was the greatest opportunity to introduce characters. The connection with the Legendary Sannin was great and this WA we got more depth to the plot and about its main connection to the theme which is peace. Kakashi was still relevant to Sasuke so no way was the spotlight taken from him as Sasuke has of equal importance to Naruto.
Would've been cool from my point of view if Kakashi would've focused on Naruto.

He did, it was just not as early as you expected. He did work 1 v 1 with him on how to master the wind element and to cut a waterfall with his shadow clones. Kakashi is more of a 1 v 1 tutor and not a team type of guy. He shows a lot of favoritism when it comes to his students and Sasuke fit the bill.Naruto was not ready for that type of training anyway, his maturity was too low to comprehend the basic 5 elements and plus he would have had a shittier Rasengan when learnt from Kakashi compared to Jiraiya who's apprentice invented the technique.

I've traveled the story on the same train as you did.

Kakashi definitely redeemed himself for me in part2.

Agreed but Kakashi can't really know all the ins and outs of a jinchuriki.
