Anyone else feel this way about games now?

Anyone feel as if gaming isn't exactly... fun anymore? Idk I might be maturing or something but I hadn't had a fun game in years... maybe in 2013 since bioshock infinite and storm 3 came out. It's like since xbone and ps4 came gaming hasn't been that fun for me anymore (besides some Nintendo titles). I remember playing halo 3 custom games with my friends l4d 1 and 2, blops 1 and 2 and having a good ass time but now those games are dead. Only games im looking forward to this year is mirrors edge catalyst, One piece burning blood, and Pokemon Sun and Moon. Anyone else feel this way?

I have felt that way since 2005 when the then next gen games started to appear(it is for this reason that I didn't get a ps3 till 2010, I was still playing my ps2). There are a few games that are fun every now and then but there isn't a constant flow of fun games anymore not like when the ps2 and ps1 were around.

Gaming used to be good back in the day, nowadays is just stupid junk with packs and dlc's and early access crap. Nothing will be more entertaining than it was back in the day.

Yea, gaming now just feels like a forced thing. The only games I'm enjoying now is storm 4 and fallout 4. Thinking about just cancelling my live membership and play solo like i use to.

Hmmnn, interesting. I've had similar thoughts lately.. I think part of is maturing, but don't get me wrong I still enjoy playing video games.. I'm just not as invested in them as I used to be.

Yeah DLC, patches and all that jazz ruined games. In the past finding secrets without needing to pay for things made adventure games cool. RPG games required effort and were more rewarding DLC wasn't needed. Heck me, my siblings and friends used to try to find glitches for fun. I like online gameplay and I can accept DLC if developers didn't produced half finished games and make you pay for the rest later while charging 55 pounds for the half finished game.

Yeah that's what is annoying about gaming at the moment, because back then you had just one full version of a game.

Yeah, unforunately big money will always ruin an art piece. I just play old games on steam instead of investing on this gen.
