i have honestly gotten sick of him, not just because of the fapboys who believe he wins against anything just "because hes batman".
theres 2 main reasons why he's popular.
1. the dark anti hero persona.
oftentimes this is forgotten and suddenly batman's the most pure hearted angel who ever lived. but mostly hes meant to be a vigilante pursuing justice for his parents.
2. he is human.
but how human is he? how can he be worshipped as "only human, yet he can fight with superhumans" if he himself is actually superhuman?
no human being without enhancements can do the kind of ridiculous shit batman does and builds.
so there that goes, right out the window.
and even though we are supposed to relate to him, the fact he has no powers does not mean automatic reliability.
he's a billionaire genius who somehow knows every martial art.
i wasnt aware that was supposed to be super relatable.
its unfortunate that what could have been a flawed realistic man like deadshot or jason bourne, had to become such an overhyped mary sue who "beats all" because of batprep and batpunch.
IMO, the most badass heroes arent even half as smart as batman, and got by on pure grit and determination.
if you want to go for the brave badass human underdog, theres still john mcclane, bourne, ethan hunt and bryan mills.
or the people who have built up from the dregs of misery and poverty like rocky.
isnt rocky's story ten times more interesting than a whiny scientist in a bat costume who thinks he knows about the ugly side of life because his mummy and daddy died?
i mean thats supposedly the appeal of batman right? that he's human and works for his abilities?
yet those same fans and writers will turn around and start wanking batman to high heaven and make him as OP as possible, like making plans to kill all the justice league, ruining that previous underdog idea.
its an inconsistent character, that cant decide what it wants to be.
