Naruto can be understood in so many ways..
There are multiple battles in it, and not just the physical ones.
In my opinion, to understand the whole series of Naruto you should be over 18 and/or blessed with a mind to comprehend it's story, it's philology and many other fascinating things that it has.
This should be looked at at like some TV series, not a cartoon, since it is not.
