Any way to spot girls who like anime?

hah, well another option is to find a girl you like and convert her. What I mean is that some girls don't know what anime is or don't find it interesting because they've never read or watched it.

If a girl really like's you she'll take interest in things you enjoy doing because she like's spending time with you. I wouldn't put one type of girl on a pedestal and expect to find her...not trying to be pessimistic, but if you spend too much time focused on one type of girl you'll miss the girl that's really truly good for you.

Personally, I have lots of good friends (both boys and girls) who like Anime/Manga but from the girls I've dated, no one really had a deep anime connection.

That being said, I'm okay with it. In that sense, we get to talk about other things (which are not so bad) and then watching anime/reading manga seems like a breath of fresh air since you haven't talked about that all day long.

Just bring that into discussion and see what she thinks about it.
But don't pick your girls just because of that otherwise you might loose tons of girls just because they don't like anime.

It is the possibility that she doesn't like it but doesn't have nothing against it if you like it. So don't make that a 100% unbreakable rule.

I could say the same in reverse for me. Most guys who like anime around here are either over obsessed, arrogant, love their naruto, call of duty and don't step into the sunlight or are too shy.

walk into the most crowded room or space you can get access to and then yell at the top of your lungs the name of a character from a seriously really sophisticated anime (like ergo proxy or moribito, or gankutsuou, sth not everyone would know). and observe reactions. the one who shows signs of excitement, that's the one.
