One thing that helped me a lot (still I suck, but this makes you so much better) is when you do the combos learn to add the chakra dash into them in order to lengthen combos...so basically memorize when you are vise to performing your final action (for example the little cutscene where say Hinata thrusts her palm forward and blows the enemy back), but instead of getting there you chakra dash and start the combo all over again!
This can be tied into predicting when people will dissapear...usually with in the first 1-2 seconds so time your chskra dash as such in order to keep them trapped!
Sadly good players have counters and methodes of escape so it isn't that simple!
Also, use items!!! I NEVER do, bit they are so helpful. Explosive tags, bomb balls, poison tags, chakra stealing or chakra recovery increase tags and the kunai explosive bags that throw kunai are all really useful IMO!
Also, when in the middle of a combo and you have support available hold B and you jump back and glow yellow...as soon as you jump back you can basically let go. After so your supports will hit the enemy in the air. You can then (if available) hit the support button again, and a teammate will do an air combo. Using this time you can charge your chakra! And if your enemy is out of subs and takes both combos, you can time it to where you hit them with an Ultimate as they fall!!!
Only problem is that if you have a guard type and a support drive you have to use them first in the combo and cannot charge while they're not using their combo part or they will be unavailable (in front of you while you charge) and the second combo option may not appear!
These are pretty basic, but I hope they help...oh and I use the Xbox so if I mentioned B anywhere I meant the attack button...my bad
