Pitch Black was awesome, sequel was meh...I loved the game - Escape from Butcher's Bay, one of the best games I ever played.
I hope that in the next movie they go back to realistic Riddick from PB we all know and love, but I don't think that'll happen.

Pitch Black was good.
Chronicles of Riddick was an awful movie, and for some reason I absolutely love it. xd
This third one sounds a lot more like Pitch Black, almost too much like Pitch Black. Apparently its going to be with him stranded on a desert-like planet being chased by alien-creatures (sound familiar?) and he has to activate a distress beacon which attracts bounty hunters. Hopefully its more about him vs. the bounty hunters than him vs. the monsters.

I am a HUGE Riddick fan ever since Chronicles came out (it was only then that I found out it was a sequel to Pitch Black lol)

oh my goodness thank you for supplying this wonderful piece of information. I had absolutely no idea they were making a new one!!!! Ah! So excited! But I have to agree with NLee and so I am a bit confused about the story line. The end of Chronicles, Riddick gained control of the Necromongers. Do they betray him (if so, I am dying to know why!!!) or does the writers choose to overlook this? If they do that, I shall be a very unhappy camper >:/
