God bless.

My Dad is bipolar. Interestingly enough, people that are Bipolar have acute senses compared to people who don't. Meaning my dad's sense of smell is better than most. However, he did go through moods.

I also have a cousin who has severe Cerebral Palsy. She cannot walk nor formulate correct sentences and she is almost ten years old. However, she has monster arm strength...

My son is 2 years and 4 months old and was diagnosed with it almost a year ago. If it wasn't for his grandma we probably would of never found out. It's great to hear from someone who has lived through it. I used to worry about how my son would turn out but now I know no matter what I'm gonna love and support him however he is. Thanks for your post.

Don't treat them much differently than a normal kid, behavior wise. Don't let them know what it does. Don't let them use it as a crutch and things will be fine.

I knew I had ADHD for a long time but I just thought it meant I had more energy than normal, which was true and the full extent of ADHD XD. I never knew people with ADHD get special treatment until middle school and I have turned out fine.

From what I understand people with Autism means that the kid's mind is designed in a way that allows them to learn certain topics/subjects very well and others they suck at horribly. Instead of being a well rounded jack of all trades they are specialists at whatever their mind latches onto. Focus on finding out what he is good at and help him become godlike in that subject. Tessla would have been described as Austistic nowadays and if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have AC power, radio waves, wireless communication, understand electricity, or be able to shoot bolts of lightning at our enemies!!!

Not being a flamer or a troll, but I get really confused as to why this serious syndrome/disease is pronounced ass-burgers. If we really want to be sensitive and caring about this serious issue, the medical board needs to come up with a different name.

Your Asperger Syndrome seems to be quite mild, as you seem to have no problem in forming a sentence that, well, makes sense.

My brother has pretty strong Autism. He is 25, I'm 16. It's just myself, him and my mother. And to tell you the truth, deep down, I have a feeling of hatred towards him. My life has actually been a living hell because of him. I could go into soooo much more, but this is Naruto Base. I'm not going to write my sop story here.

Please, don't create threads like this - there is always someone that has suffered more than you.

Oh, and by the way, my brother is extremely good at mathematics and has a great knowledge of technology, but he fails in other areas.

I fail to see the point of this thread. Are you asking we treat you differently? Or are you making us aware of your condition? Where are you going with this?

I just want to know what reaction you are trying to look for?

I don't want to argue or anything just am curious. There is always a reason for everything.

Actually, it's pronounced Ass-Per-Jers, and that was the name of the guy it's named after really ~

You obviously do not understand....

You see I agree with the person asking you why you started this thread. It just seems to come across as a look at me post. Also my Son has AS and my brother in laws other half's sister has severe autism.

I did look it up just now, quite interesting but perhaps it does not work with every patient and progress depends on the severity but I have not seen yet news saying it didn't work . . . Otherwise, why is the news hidden ? Is it so doctors can have more money offering futile remedies, or what ?

I assume parents have done what they can and cannot do in order to find a cure for their children, so why isn't this thing very popular ?

I was diagnosed as autistic when I was three, but with a traditional combination of native american hallucinogenics, I was able to free my mind from its constraints, and now I am even better then normal. (20 years later)

I know but I don't get the necessity or even relevance of this thread.
