I wouldn't say it's impossible, I myself know a few people around my place who are from both North and South Korea. They could easily make an account here any day, though I doubt they have.

Considering the poverty of the nation and the fact that their media access is strictly monitored and restricted, I would be very surprised if there were any North Koreans here.

Of course I know that, my friend! ^^ I'm not saying it's impossible either :erm: I know one or maybe two South Koreans on NB, but no NKs...

Yes, I'm pretty sure they managed to flee from the country somehow. Or at least that's what I heard, I'm not really close to them

There are only about 1000 refugees from NK who make it into the South per year.

It's said a lot of people make it into the border region to China but all stay there illegally and must fear the Chinese authorities will sent them back. (Figures vary from 10,000 to 300,000 per year)

I doubt that anybody of those people will be able or even intent to open an account at NB...

Okay…Let me tell you why I made this thread!! There’s actually a North Korean in my class >_< & she had a presentation with one of my classmates…The subject was about the differences of educational systems in my country & there, but it dragged to other matters too!!! She’s only 16 & in my opinion, she isn’t normal herself!! One of my friends asked her if it’s possible to travel to other countries for vacation when you’re living in NK & she said!!: “Nk is beautiful & you can go to the different parts of it, but if you want, you can go ask for their permission & they’ll let you go”(!!!) She talked like it’s a piece of cake to go somewhere else!! She didn’t go to details…Hah!

I know why she & her family is here in my country, but she hasn’t mentioned anything about it…They’re not refugees…Others who’re close to her in my class just act like idiots, pretending...when my friend said she’s heard that you can’t go somewhere else when you’re a North Korean, others started to whisper among themselves: “Then, how she’s here?!” & before anything got anymore serious, she began saying those words I brought up there…
