[Discussion] any new characters would mess up the shs power dynamic

We have as fans two cannon trios and one fannon trio ( never said in manga but we all for the most part agree with it)

The weakling trio
usopp chopper and nami

The middle trio ( this is fannon)
Brook franky and robin(dont agree but whatever)

Then the monster trio
Sanji luffy and zoro


Adding any more would make either one to many weaklings one too many beasts or just another swarm of sanji vs X threads.

That's a misinterpretation that's been spread for ages. Reread those pages, Luffy says I want ten nakama BEFORE SETTING SAIL. He ends up disregarding that statement anyway, Luffy has never said he wants his crew to be only ten people.

OT: They will add more than one character before it's said and done which will balance the groups back out. The groups will be uneven at some point as so far only one person joins at a time, though with this arc there's way more possibilities than before maybe we'll get Bart Rebecca and Cavendish. (I don't really believe that but it's still a possibility.)

At least ten people meaning the fewest amount he wanted was 10. I may have misread or mis-remembered the part about before setting sail but this 10 member limit people bring up is still not 100% true. The way I read it though was he was gonna get at least 10 friends before making a pirate flag which means before starting his crew which he ended up starting with 3 other people(maybe 4 was Sanji there already when Usopp made the flag? I can't remember)

Even if we get three new members doesn't mean we have to make a new trio. The M3 can become the M4 etc. etc.

LOL the fact that this matters to you. Like you said, the second trio is fanmade, meaning it's only relevant in the fanbase. And even then, it's only relevant to a fraction of the fanbase. Oda is fine doing what he wants.
