It's the same with Sakura and Hinata. They are friends but people think they will fight over Naruto and the role of the heroine. lol I like both Itachi and Minato for their personalities, not their power (Naruto was always about emotions not fighting) and they are two decent and respectable men that would never sink as low as to battle each other for whatever fans are trying to prove. Let's face it, the characters we admire are more mature than us fans.

I agree total with your answer. Its not their power that we are fangirls or boys its their acts that they did to catch our attetion.

If your true identity had to be kept hidden from the akatsuki you would sacrifice a friendship and life to be able to serve yur village. Itachi never ment harm towards any konaha nin or to his brother. He harbored sasukes hate to make sasuke look like he hero when fully truly to konaha itachi would have ben for stoppig a all out war between konaha and he uhiha clan. Itachi "Betrayed" he family all for his village.

it wasnt. first thing itachi said to the leader of akatsuki was "i know you. so help me and dont touch konoha or my brother". he revealed himself before he even BEGAN his spy work

those who defy the laws are trash. those who dont care about their comrades are worse. and he wasnt serving his village by trying to murder its greatest defender at the time.

he viciously and savagely murdered little kids, tortured his own brother several times, beat his own brother into a coma and broke his wrist brutally, ordered sasuke to murder innocent people for power (which he very nearly did), tried to kill kakashi twice, ordered the attempted murder of kurenai and asuma, extorted and threatened his village to keep them away from one person, withheld important information from his village when they could have stood a better chance against akatsuki with it, and participated in the cold blooded execution of 7 people including the leader of konoha's most trusted allies.

he tortured brutalised and corrupted his own brother and made him drunk on power and hate. whats horrifying about that is he thought this was a wonderful and noble plan. being tortured manipulated and mocked by your beloved brother doesnt make you a hero. it only tears your remaining sanity apart. what itachi did was as bad or worse than what 4th kazekage did to gaara

and yet did absolutely nothing to stop the war between orochimaru's village and konoha despite having a golden opportunity to end that threat before it festered. that act alone invalidates whatever good he did witht he genocide. and i like how your trying to justify the genocide of an entire clan of people, many of them innocent kids. not to mention trying to shift the blame onto itachi when it was all danzo's plan and manipulations that led to it.
