Quick question for marvel fans

How did Jean become White Phoenix and in White Phoenix form is she able to control her powers or is she still evil as Dark Phoenix?

It actually depends because anime , comics, and movie told the story all differently and with the disney of buying marvel i wouldn't be surprise if they do it again. Well i know in anime there were if i remember 3 jean a good Phoenix a bad Phoenix and then she left the planet then found away to seperate both Phoenix from her body but i don't know the comic version and the movie version was (-_-)
