Who is your favorite character in the Lovecraft universe?

I am a fan of Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith. My favorite characters (from Lovecraft) are Charles le Sorcier, Herbert West and Joseph Curwen.

I've heard of his work, I know more about his life than his books. I looked him up after reading a book published by Steven King who found his inspiration by reading Lovecraft's books.
