What do you believe would have happened if komugi wasnt injured during the raid on the palace?
I think Meruem would have ordered pitou to take her as far away as possible or meruem himself to run and escape, i could see komugi getting captured somehow (specifically if dragon dive wasnt used) and meruem traded his life her hers.
