I didn't like 1st episode as well. I almost abandoned it. Then I watched 2nd, 3th and 4th episode at once and I loved it.

I believe brotherhood follows the manga more. There's things I liked more from each. For ex. The greed fight was better in fma but greeds story and character are way better in brotherhood. Plus he throws down against bradley

I agree with you. some aspects of FMA were way better than FMAB.
