Vettel is a douchebag. Disobeying the orders while he has been benefited from them countless times so far.
Its a matter of opinion...I feel bad for Webber of course ...but ""WHEN U R RACING U R COMPETING"" so For me what vettel showed today is not the lust for winning but the passion to compete....have u seen the two redbullz that close ever (with out touching each other)...it was thrilling and super exciting fu** team orders...politics was there and will be there...but it isn't bigger than the true spirit of racing.

Don't get me wrong. I am against team orders.
But when Webber has been given orders to let Vettel pass him countless times in the past, Vettel should have that bit of dignity to obey this time. But no, he is just a spoiled douchebag, even worse than Alonso.
Furthermore, Webber was obviously also caught off-guard. Vettel was lucky that Webber didn't snap and was careful enough to avoid a collision. If I were in his place I would seriously consider crashing him.

Even the team manager called his action "silly" (obviously being polite). And Vettel said he is "sorry". Yeah right, douchebag, now that you won you are sorry.
It was completely unprofessional (since it could have resulted in a collision and thus zero points for the team that pays him) and also unethical (since he backstabbed the guy that has helped him so many times in the past).

Of course it was. I don't support any of the 2 so I don't care that much.
I actually was hoping that he would cause a collision so that Hamilton would suddenly become the winner! ( I support Hamilton so I have seen things like that many times when he was Alonso's teammate :D )

i agree with kurokaze....
vettel was on race track. on race track, you dont sit in a room and decide who will win. if you see a gap, you have to go for it. if you dont go for gap, you are not racing at all.
whatever happened, it was between webber and vettel, no need for the rest of the crew to be involved. you say webber followed team orders and stayed behind vettel a lot of times, but dont forget what were the conditions.... vettel was in competetion with others (hamilton, alonso, kimi, button... losing the race would have cost him position... but right now, in the beginning of the season, there is no need to hold back... every one is equal and square... leaving the vettel- webber issue behind, i am really angry on mercedes team.... WHO THE HELL ARE THEY TO ORDER ROSBERG TO STAY BEHIND HAMILTON IN THE 2ND RACE OF SEASSON....
same goes for rbr, they wanted to save engines (as they were ordered to), but that is not a valid reason for vettel to settle with 2nd place.... last season he won by 3 points, he would have lost 7 points right now... who could have covered that later.... and if webber wanted to win, he should have defended himself... so if you say vettel backstabbed webber today, then you are not watching f1 racing... i suppose you were watching some "tag team bitch racing" there is a reason for two drivers from same team... to show that not only the car deserved to win, but the winner was also skilled enough to take down another racer in same technologically advanced car... they are not best buddies o n track, but they are competitors, flat and square...

Funny thing is a post later KuroKaze agreed with me but apparently you didn't read that post :D
If no order was given and they were allowed to compete, then no problem. But the order was given, Webber slowed down his pace because of that, even relaxed psychologically as he said in the press conference ( he said "the team told me the race was over") and Vettel took advantage of that to catch him off-guard and pass him.

As for Rosberg, Brawn told him that Hamilton could go a lot faster and thus it would be very difficult, if not impossible to pass him. On the other hand, a fight between the 2 could cause major losses for the team.

As for the tag team or whatever you called it, it's all fine and cool when Webber stalls the rest and lets Vettel pass him right? Or when he crashes Hamilton to help Vettel obtain a 25-0 difference. Or when Toro Rosso almost moves off the road to let Vettel pass right?
Come on. Vettel is just a spoiled douchebag. No dignity at all.

i read the whole post of yours and understand that you also are against teams interfering with races... but what i am against is how you can blame vettel for "backstabbing" webber... and how you can say that it is alright for rosberg to let pass hamilton...
A RACE IS OVER WHEN SOME ONE CROSSES THE CHEQUERED FLAG... there were over 12 laps to go... sure thing webber helped vettel in a lot times earlier, but like i said, it was a totally different, right now it is the beginning of the season... no one has to cover the back of their team mates right now... take the example of ferrari, they are allowing massa and alonso to go neck to neck this season... webber did made sacrifices but NEVER GOT IN COLLISIONS WITH OTHERS DELIBERATELY... if it happens that after 10 -12 races webber is ahead of vettel and is in threat by some other guy, then you can expect vettel to show dignity... but in the beginning of the season, there is neither need of these courtesies nor is expected from any one... right now is the chance for every one, no matter the team to put their best and get a winning position in the race... i agree that they did call webber off in previous days and it made me furious too, but you cant compare those scenarios with these... as the champonship proceeds, the competitors for the same gets narrowed, then focus is given to the one who has more chances of winning... but when it is beginning, then you have no reason to allow someone to win without a fight...
if hamilton can go faster, so let him lead.... then why is rosberg racing...
as webber is in lead then let him proceed, then why is vettel racing....
these tricks of giving preferences to drivers over one another in the same team is done when the future of the championship starts getting clearer...
and dont be in the misconception that team mates are there for supporting your back... in motor sports your biggest rival is you yourself, followed by your team mate himself....

Okay ignore the backstabbing if you want (although he should have remembered the numerous times he was helped by that guy).
Still it was a cheap, underhanded trick because as I said he played on catching Webber off-guard.
(as for Webber deliberately causing a collision with Hamilton, I clearly remember pushing him off track in Singapore 2 years ago, resulting in a puncture for Hamilton and minus 18 points or so)

As for Rosberg, Hamilton himself said that Rosberg should be in his place. I personally don't believe he could easily get past Hamilton (except if they told Hamilton "let him pass, or you won't have enough fuel") but he definitely had his chances and had every reason to want to at least try ,so I can understand how he feels.
Maybe, maybe though, if he tried, he might have caused some problems for himself (tyres or whatever) so Brawn decided to do what he did? Sounds bullshit I know.

As I said before I am totally against team orders but it's the team that pays them and so the team decides what's best and the players are bound to oblige.
However, there is a difference between the two cases. In the first one, the team has obviously a preference for Vettel BUT told him to stay where he was and he disobeyed.Mercedes on the other hand has an obvious preferece for Hamilton (and they should, Rosberg is less stable) so they just showed this. Right or wrong, hate it or not, they decide.

Personally, I would prefer Hamilton to win his places because he is worth of them and not because of team strategy.

And personally i want the fastest one to win...
sure there will be tricks played by the teams as well as racers themselves, but all i want are some really beautiful battles for positions and a deserving victory... i hope they remove the concept of drs though... i just hate it.
lets see how vettel and webber handles this scenario... rest is on them....
btw, i root for kimi, vettel and hamilton.....
