Tbh I feel like Madara matches and exceeds Itachi in every way even intelligence. Madara knows plenty forbidden jutsus, ancient techs, and years of war torn experience leading Uchiha clan.

His power and jutsu are greater and his speed is equal with himself even stating that he has finesse in fighting, same as every Uchiha. Itachi is a True and Great Uchiha, but Madara is greater only because he died wayy too early and was sick.

This. As stated by Itachi himself, he cannot surpass Madara without EMS

tbh that would be a crazy battle because Itatchi could use the same genjutsu he used on Kabuto to beat Madara. But Madara has a sharing so he can counter Itatchi's jutsu like the battle Itatchi had with Sasuke. Madara is going to win if they fight tho

He did stop Edo Tensei, which unfortunately caused him to be released too. He effectively soloed himself. Kishi had to find a way to get Itachi out of the war because he was capable of sealing the Juubi with the Totsuka blade :elmo:

Ignoring all the prep time, chakra usage, and the fact that Obito would have singled him out, sure he could seal him, but not happening under realistic conditions. Even though he had help defeating Kabuto, don't ignore that Sasuke had to be saved by Itachi, and the fact that Sasuke would be blind and useless without Itachi's eyes.
Not to mention that I didn't respond to most of your post because only the bolded portion was directed at me, hence the "OT" that was placed later in said post :elmo: :elmo:
