The other day while exploring NB I stumbled upon a thread where someone stated that Minato's face was carved in the mountain, even BEFORE he was Hokage. :flaw: :sy:

Kakashi Vs Minato, pause the video at 00:4 Minato's face is not in the Hokage monument. All of which you see in the video occurred before the mission in Kanabi bridge.

Personally I think this is a FAIL by Kishi, Kishi's crew/team and company.
Unless, of course, there is a completely reasonable explanation for all of this failage.

no it's not a fail >>>people just love to whine... look at Obito...he was fantasizing being a hokage...he knows his teacher Minato is the next one and he wants to be the successor ... there was nothing wrong in there...that was in Obito's head...just pay attention to the details next time.

There are probably ways to explain the flaws of 599 but they would be long shots (and I mean really long shots) so people wouldn't be too happy about them. Eg. if Hiruzen put Minato's face on there ahead of time to give him extra motivation or something.
