Any Civ fans on the Base?

I recently got into playing Civilization V, with all expansions, I have to say I lost track of days, It was Monday, then suddenly Wednesday, I looked around a little and found out a new Civ is coming out soon, I was wandering if I'm the only one here who gives a shit and can't wait.

Also any other good strategy games recommendations are welcomed

I am a newcomer to Civ V but I LOVE playing it.

Which is a shame when I have nobody to play it with and nobody to teach me other strategies. I don't even know how to make roads work without them looking all scruffy or how to win the game other than a military victory.

I'm a bad teacher, but try investing in other things, spreading your culture around the world, making friends with the others Civs.

Tell me about it, for a while I'm usually quite good friends with most civs, but in one game my neighbor was a *****, so I wiped her out, all for a sudden, my best buddy nation is denouncing me, I mean, it was just one civ :O now that 2050 has passed, I decided to wipe him out :bouncy:

Well. Sometimes you have to show them who's in charge, and I'm not talking about diplomacy

The thing is, some Civs you betray you, and you may have to eliminate them.

You could go for a Science Victory, in which you have to invest in science.

But diplomatic victory isn't that hard, just try spreading your culture and religion around, helping other civs, trading and making friendship treaties. Try to avoid fighting as much as possible, focus on culture spread and city grow.

If you like to play CIV, you should definitely play Total War games. Whatever you like Sci-fi or classic Total War. Total War Shogun = Must play.
