Any chance of Orochimaru being a good guy after all?

I'm not in love with this idea, but the recent chapter got me thinking. As people have posted before, the 4 Hokage will give Sasuke the whole unbiased story of what happened. How it was a Masked Man who attacked the Leaf and slandered the Uchiha's name leading up to the Uchiha Massacre. How Madara left the Leaf after the other Uchihas welcomed the treaty (unsure of this) and such.

I'm not saying he is a good guy or anything. It's that if you follow the chain towards the eventual end, you will see this will most likely lead Sasuke towards the battlefield to try and end Obito. Of course I'm probably not taking into account what is currently happening on the battlefield while this is happening.

Orochimaru told Sasuke he still wants his body, so I'm guessing he's only helping him probably to gain that in return.

Also, what you wrote doesn't provide any back-up to him being a good guy. Actually it was completely irrelevant

Kishi keeps making the villains good eventually. That being said I really really wan't Orochimaru to stay evil, he's the only true villain I hope Kishi doesn't ruin him.

It's difficult to gauge Orochimaru. His short conversation with Suigetsu regarding sentimentality toward the leaf leaves a bit to be interpreted.

He is, most certainly, not in line with Madara - so it is reasonable to see him join the stomping party (though it may be that he has a very strong faith that Infinite Tsukuyomi will have either no effect on him, or that Naruto and crew will be putting an end to that threat without help).

But, at the same time, he's on an individual quest for power and knowledge of jutsu - a quest in which he has little regard for the lives of others. Otherwise, he tends to like to stick to himself unless it's to manipulate nations to get his hands on closely guarded jutsu or blood lines (which is a little too frequent for comfort).

He may end up being a part of "saving the day" against Madara and the Juubi... but I think he will, most likely, return to his old ways afterward.

Unless he becomes something like Itachi and all of his work and experiments turn out to have been done expressly to counter Obito and Madara. Wouldn't that be something: "Turns out, after may failed attempts at capturing his body, Itachi and I just decided to join forces - he'd feed me valuable intel about the Akatsuki and I'd do research on how to stop it while learning more about crazy jutsu. I'm the bad guy who decided to be a good guy pretending to be a bad guy."
