That's so sad... Everyone is equal this shouldn't pass

I know. It sucks for those people who have lived in Russia their wholes lives as gay people, and are now going to have to act/be treated differently.

IT is wrong yes, but it really isn't anyone but the Russians business. Other countries, mainly the US, need to stop getting involved in domestic issues in foreign countries. While I think gays should have equal rights, I'm not one to be able to push my ideas onto the leaders of Russia. Dozens of countries have anti-gay laws, Russia is just the newest. So if you're gay, don't move to Russia, or if you're a gay Russian, move away from Russia, or don't get caught being gay. If you're not Russian, its not your business.

I know it's no one's business but Russia's I agree. But then again,those countries who have poverty & dying,starving children are also,none of our business. It's not our place to help them but we feel compelled as human beings to help our own kind. I understand what you mean though.

We can do something if we speak out for them. Homosexuality isn't a new thing, it's been around for ages..people just turn a blind eye. I do believe is pointless to discuss but it's always nice to see a person's point of view..also you can always vote to outlaw that stupid law.

it depends from the country majority religion i suppose,
i mean in Muslim gay/lesbian is not allowed/forbidden/ultimate sin,
since that kinda act bring nothing but disease, like AIDS is actually originate from homosexuality,

Well it's not like the people have much say in it. It's the government that makes those laws and who passes them; I doubt they would care what the public thinks of it. I mean there were a lot of people protesting against the new President, saying the selections weren't fair, but he still got the job again.

i think it's up to the people of Russia to decide whether it's acceptable or not to "act gay",
this is very similar to the fact that in most western countries it's "unacceptable" to marry your relative which made most US states make it illegal, and they did it because americans do not "approve" of it in their mentality, when in almost all middle eastern countries it's more then acceptable.
do middle eastern give themselves permission to tell Americans whether it's ok to illegalize marriage between cousins or not? No, do they ask Americans to change their mentality? No
the same thing goes for gay marriage or gay behavior.
i am against discriminating against homosexuals in anyway, but in some countries homosexuality is just unacceptable :shrug: if they choose not to allow homosexuals to behave in a certain way in front of their children, then we have no right to tell them what to do.
