as kakashi recived the eye from obito his body accepted it as lvl 0 eye, not like developed sharingan.so he just trained hard and since there are upgrades for the eye his body can do it.but if he just recived uchiha eye from children who havent awakened the sharingan he wouldnt be able to. i even think that he wouldnt be able to awake sharingan

He was already seen to be in possession if several extra sharingan. It is completely possible that obito replaced the missing one with one of them.

My theory is that Kakashi got his MS because he blamed himself over the death of Obito, and probably Rin too. All the grief finally came to ahead, and thus his MS awaken.
