Another unarmed black teenager shot by police

17 year old Mike Brown , Saint Luis , Missouri, was shot 9 times by Ferguson police officer while being unarmed just a couple days ago. he was reported for shoplifting a cigar from a local gas station and when the police found him on the street they shoot him multiple times.

Last night people from all over the city gather around for a calm prayer and memorial which quickly esceladed to protests and riots. Shots were fired at civilians and police officers and numerous stores were broken into with people carrying out armloads of goods. 38 people were arrested and 2 cops were injured.

all of this could've been avoided if the cops just arrested the boy instead. It was just petty theft. No need to shoot him. Especially 9 times like he's some wild animal the kid is a human. Out off all the things on a police officers belt from mace,pepper spray, tasers, handcuffs, he decides topull out a gun?! That's ****in ridiculous

So in anger people decided to break into stores and rob it cause they were mad at the police cause an unarmed kid was shot for shoplifting?

Now the innocent store owners have to buy a new door,maybe windows,whatever else was broken,clean it up,replace the food or whatever was stolen,and deal with lost profit.

That's quite the genuis way to handle the situation.

For shoplifting that he may or may not have done. I don't bring up race often, but stuff like this does make you wonder. 9 times is a bit extreme. Cops are trained to use lethal force as a last option, which is why a lot of emphasis on moves to subdue a target is placed on their training.

I was waiting for some sort of thread like this to happen, I've been seeing Mike Brown pictures all over Tumblr. The world is a cruel place, things like these seem to draw public attention, but no one ever wants to do anything about it (I'm talking about higher up officials).

Clearly, there is something wrong with society and all the government is doing is focusing on smaller things. But, we can't only blame the government, people are at fault too! If some people were taught to learn who a person is before judging them by how they look, the world would begin to advance itself, but those people are just acting like idiots with the whole, "You're different from me, so I don't like you" mindset.
