He clearly said the "best".

Oh yeah, he said it. Never mind, then. That's pretty racist.

Thousands of years ahead from the rest of the world? What's the time line of slavery age you are referring to?

And yes he said. Please read go back and read the post.

Oh, come on, you can't possbily interpret that as a literal statement, right? Hum, didn't I just say it? "When the europeans first came to america(the continent)"

Yeah, I've seen it now.

I have no reason not to take him literally. He is the one making the claim and you were the one backing him up on that ridiculous statement. You still didn't understand my question. I asked the time period. Can you give actual dates when you were thousands of years ahead as a "civilization"?

It's such a sad thing that, I started this thread with a lot of expectations of witnessing some rational arguments, but as post number increased, the quality of thread went downhill.
OT-Talking about Racism, it can't be denied that Black people suffered more injustice than White people. We can't fix history, unless and until you are Wolverine and you have some Ellen Page to help you.XD Moral of the story, we have to move on, equality should be maintained and it must be taken into consideration that past won't affect the future.u.u

Isn't the expression "a thousand X" known as an usual, common hyperbole that people use to enfasize something?

Anyway, as I can tell, he was talking about the time I mentioned twice, in which the europeans were more developted(I mentioned some exemples as well). That is a known fact, and you can't deny that.

Now, if you're really gonna insist on the "thousand" thing, then never. Happy now?

Not to mention the OP is posting a 90's event to this time ..... Should I point out the double standard how Dungeon and Dragons players was widely demonized while World of Warcraft/Twi-hards players dont get much 'demonisation'?

PS Which sensible human listens to Gay Z and Kyne Waste anyway?

Not in this context. Seeing the OP's conviction for his opinion I would let him make himself clear instead of taking your opinion in account. Especially since you weren't even reading his posts properly and still defending him denying what he wrote.

You totally missed what I was asking but hanging on to random things. I won't waste my time asking the same question again. If you cannot even date the period how can you compare the development of "civilization" for which there are so many added parameters to decide upon?

Compared to the rest of the world, the Roman Empire was ahead of their time in so many Areas. They revolutionized war, they were pioneers of democracy and had indoor plumbing. It wasn't until the dark ages that this technology was lost.

You're denying it because it's convenient to you. I'll take it, as most people, as the classic hyperbole.

For f*ck's sake, you couldn't possibly be denying the FACT that the europeans were more developed at the time I mentioned, when they first came to america, compare to the african and the american civilization, could you now?

Many parameters? Well, tell me then, how were these civilizations more developted at the time?

Democracy is just one of the political systems. Choosing it is not that big a deal. At the same time there are many other civilization make similar claims. It is pretty common in most tribal regions world over. India had many democracies in smaller states even if not all over India. ( keep the size of undivided India in mind.) It's not a coincidence that India adopted it this easily and was able to maintain it when British left it on the verge of a major civil war.

Indoor plumbing was first invented by the Indus Valley civilization. Baths were very common and used daily. The floors in their houses were made of bricks laid on their sides to make a water proof platform. The baths were also used for religious services and bathing rituals. Public baths were the most common. People would most commonly bathe standing up and pouring pitchers of water onto themselves, much like a shower. A small hole would be at the bottom so the water could pour out and into the streets. They would place a brick in front on the whole and it would make a bath in their home. Toilets could only be afforded by the wealthy. Poor people used urns or sump pots. The rich toilets were basically stacked bricks with a hole in the middle with a drain leading out. If the plumbing was on the second floor then terracotta pipes were used to bring the waste water down to the streets. Limestone was used to make sure there weren’t any leaks in any of the plumbing systems. Plumbing was used for comfort and to make life easier on people. Standardized earthen plumbing pipes with broad flanges making use of asphalt for preventing leakages appeared in the urban settlements of the Indus Valley Civilization by 2700 B.C

See^ Others make similar claims.

I don't see the difference of thousands years. As for weapons well- those civilizations eager for war or having to suffer too much are more likely to develop them. I am not surprised if more peaceful ones stayed behind on it. :p ( I didn't bother to check on this)

You should search more before making such claims. I am sure Egyptian and Chinese civilization also can come up many similar claims challenging the progress of one place alone.

Oh please keep projecting your denials on me. BTW the OP replied and both of you are already on different pages. So next time do not be so fast to make random claims about another person without any specification at that. Keep your temper in check as well.

To me, it's rather simple. I think it's psychological scars integrated with a misunderstanding that arises from the separation of communities, along with seemingly pompous attitudes of the more fortunate.

There's a lot of poor black communities, sure you may have some whites in there, but the majority are black (I'm referring solely to black communities, I know there are poor white communities as well). Every time they see a more successful white man or woman, I believe they visualize a gap between white man and black man, despite there being poor communities consisting of other races. It shouldn't be surprising that a person with more success is perceived better than a person with little to no success. It'll be ignorant to think that a lot of these successful people don't view themselves better than the destitute, or that they don't display such contempt. However, that may be irrespective of their color. That wouldn't stop the black race from perceiving it as such, mostly because of the history between the races. The likelihood that some do still experience racism ( doesn't help much.

Tales from the past, don't always stay in the past either. Those who were alive to experience the racism during its most severe, can pass down the stories to their children, then they in turn pass it down as well.

Also, if a white person treats a black person disparagingly, how would they truly know if it wasn't due to racism? As long as the possibility is still there, psychological effects are likely to make a presence.

The swastika wasn't even a racists symbol, yet the Nazis made it a negative thing. A white person could walk around with a swastika, and claim, "I can wear this! This is a form of freedom of speech!". Most know better because they're aware of the psychological effects. But isn't it just a symbol? What if a white person walks around in a black community with a sheet? Words and signs are expressions of our thoughts and behavior.

Most people that would say whites should be able to be verbally express their pride in their race would say that wearing a swastika is either stupid, or disrespectful. The difference is, is that one is "oh this person is definitely racist", and the other, "this person may be racist".

Many don't seem to understand that pride in the white race was the same as wearing a swastika, or white sheets. "White power!", "White supremacy!"

To blacks, this is all equivalent to that equilateral cross. It's a notion that was intertwined with all their hate.

Should blacks get over it? Sure, such ideas are becoming outdated. Should we all act like we're shocked that blacks have these misconceptions? No, let's not play dumb. As for the hypocrisy, that seems to be a human trait, so it doesn't even surprise that blacks are being hypocritical.

Just to make sure the point is clear, I believe blacks should move on, and at least try to put the past behind them.

Also, Africa isn't exactly the best place for agriculture lol. Not to mention the diseases that plagues that continent.

blacks have no one but themselves to blame for being poor. They continually support the people who opress them under the guise of helping them

So this gap they are visualizing isn't the white mans doing.

Basically you are trying to tell me, that because the black man feels bad for himself, I can't be openly proud of my heritage? While he can(and infact parades it in the media)?

these "psychological effects" basically support the notion that blacks tend to be weaker minded people. To be so easily swayed by words and symbols screams inferiority.

Black people don't control the media so that statement you made about them parading it in the media is false. Furthermore your thread went from addressing racial slurs and double standards in rap music to racial supremacy and a racial hierarchy... Lol tell us more about how you are not a racist.

Edit: And why do you keep posting old videos? It's 2014. Post more relevant videos to back up your claims to todays timeline.

Its funny how you are so passionate about black people respecting whites but I don't see you doing the same when the tables are turned.
This line pretty much soloed the thread. You want le blacks to show and give you respect and yet it doesn't seem like you are showing respect towards blacks in this thread, slim.

That wasn't even my point. Anyways, I don't see how subsidizing have much relevance to black people being poor. It doesn't account for human motivation. The majority of football and basketball players are black, not to mention hip-hop. If someone have something they want to accomplish, I don't see how the lack of subsidies would be a driving factor in their decisions. I wonder how many of these athletes or musicians were once on welfare. I'm sure there's some interesting stories out there.

If anything, it's complacency. That don't have much to do with welfare though, more like because they don't have any aspirations. It's simple: If someone really desired something, they'd attempt to get it. I don't see how subsidizing hinders that determination. This isn't even counting the ones that are currently going through college or have completed it.

Also, . There are poor white neighborhoods as well, but because there are so many black activist and media outlets linking poor with blacks, the poor white communities go undetected. All we hear about, are the poor, black, communities. It produces an illusion.

Hell, I'm sure many just drives right on through a poor white neighborhood and don't even think of it or recognize it as such, but when it comes to the poor black communities, it's like, "Ohhh man, I'm in that part of the town." So, we probably delude ourselves, due to the crime that's usually associated with poor black neighborhoods. In fact, the crime is also probably why they get so much media attention.

The white man played apart in that visualization, that is undeniable. Now, do you mean the current generation of whites had nothing to do with it? Then yes. However, the white man as a whole definitely played a part in the black's perception.

No, I already said the blacks have misconceptions. It it faulty. I'm saying don't play dumb, acting like it's so hard to grasp why they associate white pride with racism.

You realize that whites didn't want blacks expressing pride in their race? In fact, the whites were so easily angered by color and physical differences. That must mean they're weak-minded. You're going to say not all whites were racists, well not all blacks have a problem with whites being proud of their race.

How is it racist to note the advancements Europe made compared to others?

The line had absoultely nothing to do with this thread. I never asked for or wanted respect. I want the freedom to be able to talk about race, and promote white excellence just like blacks do. I don't give a shit about respect.

Where did i mention a racial hierarchy? How is it racist that I don't turn a blind eye to the strengths and weaknesses of race?

What does the time of the video have to do with its subject matter? The video is still relevant to today. I love how you say "its 2014" like humans have transcended to some other planet or something.

Are you an idiot? Why would someone work when they can live off the government? If you can't see how subsidization effects motivation then I have nothing else to say to you.

Why mention pro athletes? They make up .00005% of the US population. Don't use that as a gauge for blacks.

Are you trying to say that its the white mans fault people get scared in black neighborhoods, not the massive levels of crime actually committed in these areas? Are you really suggesting it was the white man who made these things up?

All Im saying is that its ****ing dumb that I can't be proud of my race because people are so stupid as to think its racist. That level of misconception should never be allowed in a civilization such as America

If a white person wants to celebrate white Excellence then they should be allowed to do so

How do you justify the vast difference in power between europe around the discovery of the Americas, than pretty much the entire world? How did the Europeans make such strides where the rest of the world didn't

The development needs infrastructure and infrastructure needs economic power to support it.

You should study the history of the world 18th century onwards and see what exactly was going around in other parts of the world at the same time and what hindered others. You can credit the imperialism of European nations during that time. Europe got a sudden jump from rags to riches( in many cases) with the industrialization which was facilitated by and large from the money gained from "trade" which was often not so much as trade but simple loot.

They used it for their personal advancement - study the heavy economic drain from Bengal alone before and after British rule. Worst man made famine of the history was what it got from it. That would be a start. Search and you will see. You can try even Google for this:

Then proceed to other states and the other world countries. British wouldn't make a long journey to Kolkata if it was as poor and deprived as it is today.
