That was self inflicted mainly because as you just said most jews were white, that was white wanting dominance over white that is much different and less than actually achieving dominance and hate and disgust of another race.
Does that make it better? Suffering is still suffering. Even with slavery in America one could argue that it was self-afflicted because many African leaders/tribes would sell out their own people for profit. It still doesn't change anything.
The world used to be very nationalistic. Back when the Irish moved into America, they were discriminated against.
The Italians that immigrated to America were considers a disease, even though they were white. Skin color wasn't a factor as much as the origin of the people.
It was a different form of racism.
Bottom line is, it's pointless to compare what each race has been through because the current generations of each race take credit for something their predecessors went through.
