[Spoilers] Another potential Hokage bites the dust!

So Shikaku is dead and he had a pretty good chance of becoming the next hokage.
Tsunade is nearly or possibly already dead and she was the current hokage.
Kakashi is next in line I believe but Kishi is wiping out all the hopefuls so Naruto can take the helm.

Tbh, his intellectual skills are insane... just wish he nominated himself instead of kakashi... but sadly Danzo got it... Either way a great shinobi lost in this war.

Shikoku had great intelligence, but that in and of itself doesn't make him qualified to be a Kage. He wasn't strong enough. He was best suited to the position he was in as an advisor and strategist.

Yea I second this. It's obvious. Kakashi become hokage, at this point in the story? It could have worked after Danzo died but it's too late now. When Naruto has defeated Madara he'll be qualified to say the least

Yep, Naruto will become the next Hokage, Kakashi has commented on several occasions that naruto has surpassed him

Yep and now the only hokage candidates left are Naruto and kakashi, so i think kishi may kill of kakashi very soon

Kakashi can still reject being Hokage. Nobody can force him to become Hokage if he doesn't want to. Just lika Jiraiya refused. Shikaku was never Hokage material in the first place, it's true he is a genius, but he doesn't have the strength to protect Konoha. Neither does Kakashi, he couldn't take on 2 path of Pain. The role of the Hokage is to bring peace and stability to the village, not being extra smart and having someone else to fight at critical times. So the only real candidate for Hokage is Naruto, with Shikamaru as his assistant or something...

Naruto has strength but from his brash attitude and overall naive personality, he is not suitable to rule a country, but more so to the status of a protector.
