3 officers fatally shot, one suspected gunman dead. Possibly 2 on the run.

My take: I'm not justifying any death of any kind. Nor do I know if this is in anyway connected to BLM. I'll just say things would not have escalated this high if officers were appropriately punished for the unnecessary deaths over the past few YEARS. I'm not saying the officers were wrong in every case of unnarmed shootings, because they weren't wrong every time, but even the times were they were obviously wrong and committed out right murder they got to walk away free with a barely guilty conscience.

I know for a fact the tension in America wouldn't be this high if they officers in the wrong were correctly prosected. After the shooting in Houston I thought it wouldn't happen again & it would be a singular event but at this rate America may very well dwell into anarchy.

I'll condemn this. Guilty police should be punished. Violent protests accomplish nothing except more violence. You have to be the change you want to see, but nine times out of ten people don't want to be the change they want to see. That means hard work, changing the system and listening.

Its not a system problem. The root is in the hearts of the people in power.

The change that people want is no racist driven killings by law enforcement. A black man cant become white and be the "change".

The best way to end the cycle to to stop what is causing the cycle.

So if Cops stop killing people. Then people will stop killing cops. Repeat.

But you are also approuching the situation with childlike labels when its not that simple.

I wouldnt label this as stupidity when it could be moral or justified to others. Reacting like this is more of a fight or flight, back against a wall situation.

Some feel as if there is no way out because you cannot change others, they have to change themselves.

A black man could become law enforcement and change from the inside if he really wanted too. What's the real issue here? Baton Rouge averages 2-3 murders a week. Something like 95% of which are black on black. No one protests that. A cop kills a black man and that leads to condemnation and claims of racism? Clearly the solution should be that only blacks can murder blacks

Do you live in a black community? How do you know blacks arent talking to their communities? They are.

The issue of when a white cop kills a black person is why people are angry and is what those killing are focused on. You have to understand its not a system problem. Its the heart and intentions behind those in power.

Simply taking their positions wont destroy the root of the problem. It would only tend the wound.

However, doing what you say is a great proactive start that I agree should be pursued with diligence.

But their has to be an internatl change of those who first inflicted the pain.

Say someone kills your mother and you want revenge. You go after the guy but someone stops you and calls you stupid for trying because of jail time. How would you feel?

You are right killing wont solve anything but just calling it stupid shows lack of empathy. You gotta step back, take a look and see that the system isnt the problem. Its how we feel in our hearts toward each other that sprouts the problems.

I see where you are coming from, but they are not aiming at the murderers who wear policemen-uniforms, these attacks happen against any white policemen who probably never did anything wrong. Racism on both sides.

The system IS part of the problem. If racist policemen with contact to racist organisations are not removed from their job, then you can't say that the system runs as it should. But it's not the only problem. You mentioned it, there has to be a change of heart on both sides too.
