Another plot no jutsu not explained yet

Itachi has never ask anyone of Akatsuki where is Madara. He even didn't know that Tobi=Obito was the guy he speak with. And even when Tobi appeared he didn't noticed his sharringan nor the fact that OBito had a mask that was almost alike to the mask that he had in their conversion in the past when the uchiha massacre happened.

He never spoke with Pain about Madara, he was just sitting back waiting if akatsuki betray him and start to attack Konoha so he would also betray them. But the funny part is that even pain and the rest didn't know about the deal between Obito and Itachi. This plot no jutsu is not explained in details by the Author yet.

Whether Kishimoto trolled Akatsuki or they failed big time, and the result is- no one alive as we can see except Obito and Zetsu...

I'm going to go with this, and maybe he didn't know that Pain knew? Who knows.

Then if you think about it, why would he even think Obito is alive? Literally every single person alive thought Obito was dead.

But Obito pretended to be Madara back at the Uchiha massacre. Even if Itachi knew Madara's own sharingan, Obito had a lot of sharingan and Itachi knew Madara could have switched eyes.
I don't see why Itachi would have reason to believe Obito wasn't Madara

This is not a plot hole usually i correct people on what plot hole means and tell them that the show is filled with mysteries and then i go on to tell the difference between the two but this is neither.Why would itachi go around snooping looking for answers,answers to questions he not does seem to be seeking nor did you provide what type of question he should be asking.Nagato was in cohoots with tobi so if itachi goes around asking who is the masked man(even though he has no reason not to believe he isnt madara)what would that serve ?And if nagato gets asked this he could of easily told tobi this and they would of had to formulate a plan to take him out and if they succeeded walla nothing itachi planned would of be executed.

Yes, there is. Because Itachi is known for his intelligence. But he was sitting back and waiting if Akatsuki make a mistake. He is clever, look how far did he goes ,he even use 2 more superior genjutsu techs. Perhaps this was a back excuse from the author. It not affect the manga at all but trollied Itachi in that case.
