I'm amazed that no one said this before me, but I'm tired of every anime wanting to stall with fillers, Naruto, One Piece..

Aren't you guys disgusted with these cries and drama every episode? The speeches and literally episodes filled with nothing

First and for all infracted for offensive language and bashing. You can be displeased with fillers, but there's no reason to do it with such a foul mouth and to start bashing the creator of the series.

Secondly the influence of a mangaka on the anime adaptation of his series is limited. It's not like he is directing it all.

Thirdly if the anime catches up to the manga, well then you have to do something. You can't make episodes of something that hasn't even appeared yet in the manga. I haven't watched the OP anime for quite a while now, but I had the impression it's very close to the manga as they're somewhere at the end of the Dressrosa arc. Overall seen the fillers in OP have always been limited.

The fillers in OP are very slim compared to the ones in Naruto. Also today's episode of OP is just according to the manga, and of course a full episode will be build around Luffy defeating doffa, so some things were stretched a bit today, but that is normal.

Don't watch them then. It's not like they're revealing anything you don't already know.

It only becomes problematic for the readers of manga, those who don't read doesn't care about fillers TBH...

Fillers are a neccesity in an anime that is based on an on-going manga.

When an anime catches up too close you have 2 scenarios:

- hiatus with a risk of having the entire anime cancelled
- fillers to keep the audience entertained and keep the interest in the show alive until canon returns

I think its obvious wich option is better.

With the way very little happened in most chapters in Zou, coupled with the fact that chapters now contain 15 pages on the average these days, without fillers the anime would catch up pretty soon

Naruto has fillers
One piece has padding

It's basically 1:1 chapter on episode ratio. If you can't handle that pace. Just drop the anime already. It has been like this since Enies Lobby.

OMG, the anime has only reached that far? seems an eternity since that happened in the manga xD

I personally think One Piece either takes a 4 week break or has 4 week worth of fillers at the least.

Would have no effect whatsoever.

Then what after that 4 week break, do you want more content in an episode ? You would close that 4 week gap within 2 weeks. And if the manga takes a break you're left with just a buffer of one.

If you want fast paced animation, they should do what bleach has done and just stop. The idea is to bring back the anime when the manga has ended so they can properly animate it without fillers or padding.

But they will never to that for One Piece because One Piece = $$$ and more episodes is more $$$.

Not really, Oda packs more content in an episode than any other manga. So usually when oda is in his gears he has a lot of things going on in a chapter, which makes it better for anime. But there are some times when oda has a low chapter so this padding helps to counter that effect. Also the padding helps when Oda takes a lot of manga breaks individually along with the usual jump break, which was pretty much the case last year.

Also that would mean waiting untill 2086 to start the anime again. At least bleach is on the final arc.
