Ok so i need to sketch w2 trapeziums, with different dimensions, each having an area of 54cm squared.

I have a triangle. Its base is 15.5m and the area of it is 50cm squared. What is the height?

Please help base!

So
You must be registered for see images

You can rewrite formula to discover the height. I think I can make it simpler though.

I'm only leaving this in here in case you need to solve for the trapezium as a whole and not just the triangle. You have the triangle area so finding the whole area probably will not be that hard.

Area = 1/2 b x h

50 = 1/2 (15.5 x h)

50/7.75 = h

h = 6.45

This be for the triangle.

Yeah this is right sorry but the problem says the base is in meters and the area in cm? Need to do some conversion if this is the problem.

if the base is in metres, you should convert it by multiplying by100, and now, when drawing your trapezium remember that area=baseX pendicular height this means the base of both trapezium and its perpendicular height should be the SAME. Sorry i can't elaborate more, its been years since i did this.
I'll tell you a simple secret, maths is easy, yot just have to see it for your self, just don't hate and practice more, and don't get tensed, next time, try your best to solve it, if you can't check your text book.

I always say this, you don't need teacher always to be there for you, you know teachers are not supposed to teach you everything, you have to do some yourself thats why some teachers give students home work on a newly introduced topic.
You know during my time as a student, your teachers were always going on strike, we had a terrible math teacherxdbut we still passed because we were made to understand that our teachers won't teach us every thing under normal circumstance
