After last weeks episode and manga chapter I have decided that I will stop reading the manga at 790 and become and anime only watcher. From this point on, being an anime only would make the experience that much more enjoyable since we're entering new arcs which will be Zou, Wano Kuni and Elbaf. I want the fight between Luffy and Kaido to be completely new to me once we get there in the anime. So I'm therefore announcing that I will no longer participate in this section of the forum or any One Piece community untill a few years later in order to protect myself from spoilers, I plan on experiencing Wano Kuni in anime form only and then perhaps I will consider reading the manga once more.

Thank you to all those who brought forth great talking points for this amazing series.

Anime was great last week and it's a part of me having already seen the manga that unfairly judges the quality of animation based on how I want certain scenes to look like when in reality it's not that bad. I want to get back the feeling I had of watching the anime like I first did when I was catching up, it was an amazing journey.

Anime was great last week and it's a part of me having already seen the manga that unfairly judges the quality of animation based on how I want certain scenes to look like when in reality it's not that bad. I want to get back the feeling I had of watching the anime like I first did when I was catching up, it was an amazing journey.

Well the quality wouldn't seem that bad if the episodes had better pacing for the most part. When it's slowly paced and dragged out, the animation/art quality sticks out a lot more.

Wow. I feel like switching to anime only after experiencing the manga is a bad move but do what you please I guess. I kinda understand where you're coming from but OP's anime has been lacking mainly because of how dragged out things are for quite some time if you ask me.

Yeah, it sucks. The anime looked nice before but the animation/art doesn't look that great now. It's just inconsistent. I wonder if we're going to see another decline in animation/art quality with the OP anime once DB super comes out. It's already confirmed that series will have at least 100 episodes.

Toei is doing the new DB series... Yeah, OP's anime might be doomed once it starts. The inconsistency is already bad enough but if that's the case, it's possible the quality will be consistently lacking on top of its dragged out pace. The anime just needs to go on break on a while. I'd rather that than bad quality, bad pacing or fillers.

Toei is doing the new DB series... Yeah, OP's anime might be doomed once it starts. The inconsistency is already bad enough but if that's the case, it's possible the quality will be consistently lacking on top of its dragged out pace. The anime just needs to go on break on a while. I'd rather that than bad quality, bad pacing or fillers.

Believe me I know plenty of people who only watched the Anime and think it sucks now and they go to the Manga because they can't take it.

And me personally I was reading the Manga way before I watched the Anime and I never disliked the Anime the way I do now.

I could maybe deal with the slow pacing which is horrible but mostly imo the Animation itself is very bad most of the time. I'd seriously prefer the pre HD Animation compared to most of what we get now.

I've actually changed my mind, I'll just continue with the manga because I can't stand waiting so long to catch up where we are now in the manga in the anime.
