No @Oreki_Houtarou I need some clarification. I think I deserved it. I stayed very late last DP even after working almost all afternoon and night.

Votes lock when DP ends, not when host says so. That's how it's always been in mafia games around multiple forums. Your vote came in after the DP had ended.

I'm here, sorry for the delay, I'm unexpectedly hosting a game (that had to start out of queue) and it has been taking a lot my attention.

Let me catch up on what transpired.

If the vote locked is triggered by player's ability but host never mentioned it anywhere is that counted as host going against the hosting rule.

It depends on the setup and structure of the game. In some cases it's imminent to announce the ability. In some cases, it isn't, depending on different factors.

Alright, I read through everything.

Here are the main pointers I wanted to address.

@ players

- It's important to note that votes lock, always, when the time frame for the day phase ends. This is regardless of the existence of a countdown or not. We implement the countdown and it's part of our hosting rules because it makes keeping track of time frames much easier but that doesn't change the rule of thumb.

- If there's any concern in regards to something in game, you think was a host's mistake, the first step would be to discuss it through PM first with the host because sometimes there are mechanics in place you're not seeing and what you think is a mistake may not be. In this case it was but that is for future references.

- Hosts are human and mistakes are made sometimes. Hosting takes time and effort and those who have hosted know that. On the same note, I'm positive every host would appreciate a bit of understanding in the case they were the ones in the hosting position right now and made a mistake so let's try to extend that understanding on someone who admitted to his mistake.

- It's important for the playerbase to have a countdown that indicates the end of the current phase. That's really helpful for the players. You can use

-It's very important to update the OP post with the alive/dead players and links for the writeups. That is the player's reference for everything in the game. That should be done every phase and without fail.

- Before the votes are locked, it's important to give, at least 2 vote tallies. There are three that are helpful (at least from a player's perspective) at influential points. My personal preference is 3 vote tallies. The first one close to the middle of the day phase, the second one 3 hours before the EoD and the mandatory EoD one. More than that are always welcomed but those three are the most important.

Finally, I understand how frustrating it can be for your faction to be affected by an involuntary mistake so I will discuss with Drago how the lynch results affected the progress of the game and if there's a need to add a re-balancing element to make up for it. I will be deleting all posts that were made after the night phase started once I've looked over them again to make sure I don't miss anything. This may delay the start of the subsequent phase a little.

I can't make the countdown. It requires me to add an extension to chrome and I can't do that on this computer. I don't think a countdown is really that big of a deal anyway, one can just do math.

I'll get to that, I just don't have to time to do it straightaway.

Ohh, I see. Even though the countdown is a nice addition, it's not imminent to host a game. I could give you hand with it though and add it to the OP
