No it doesn't. It's actually crap when compared to most manga out there. Even Naruto shits on it, if you include characters.

Actually I give this one to Naruto believe it or not.

Ano Hana, FMA:B, Gurren Lagann & Blue Exorcist are all fantastic and better written series but Naruto has such a rich cast and it's the only reason i'm still reading. So many interesting people.

Dude, watch Monster. You will not be disappointed. Johan Liebert is the best villain I've ever come across, in my opinion.
