Do you guys believe they will go into depth with the lives of the Hokages? Like you know Hashirama had the flashbacks and all.. maybe we'll be introduced to new Senju and Uchiha members. And possibly the starting of Konoha. I think they can take a big time filler break on this part. Sure most of the people here won't like em, but anyone like me who is interested in knowing the past will. You know introductions to the other clans also. And so on. I'm really excited for that part. The wait is so long. X_X


As far as "it won't be canon". Sadly Kishimoto is not the only owner of Naruto. And on top of that non-canon is something that is contradicted by the manga. And if you strictly believe manga to be canon, than this forum is the wrong forum that you post on.

Lol, well, yeah... that entire thing will be a flashback... but they'll add filler parts in there. Either way, my expectations are pretty high, I hope the animators don't ruin it xD

On one hand, I'm always glad to see some anime expansions of manga's canon (instead of totally random filler stuff). On the other hand, I tend to find too many contradictions in the universe that is created as a result. It's usually small details yeah, but I'm quite picky about them.

For example I loved seeing that Shino vs Torune filler because it showed my favourite characters and gave them some backstory, but at the same time I was irritated by how they ignored some things that were established about Root (weren't they supposed to fight to death? Weren't their names supposed to be codenames? Weren't their identities supposed to be secret? Weren't they supposed to be emotionless killing machines? So yeah Danzo made Sai kill emotions and bonds but somehow ignored the fact that his two "best" men were supposedly friends?).
