Anime Suggestion.

Hey guys, I am wondering what is the top anime in terms of plots? I am talking about as crazy as a plot as Death Note.

Any suggestions?

Penguindrum, but it's plot is probably too complex for most of the people on this site.

Well it's kinda what you're into I guess... I like Monster but it's too slow paced for some people. Code Geass is usually compared to Death Note since they're it's about a smart young man who tries hiding his identity while fighting the odds (besides that they're pretty different though). Steins;Gate is a 24 episode one about time travel, but it's a bit more light for at least the first half of the series. It's still great though!... TTGL is also a good one, I really didn't care for it at first but the idea is to watch it until the end.

You might like Attack on Titan too. It picks up quickly so it reels people in fast. Forgot to mention it :L some may say that the plot's not that great but I personally don't think it's that bad..

In terms of plot Mirai Nikki is pretty good.

Code Geass if you're looking for plot. Some good action too. It also has an highly intelligent main character like Light was so I think you'll enjoy, somewhat of a short series too.

Well dang you should read the Liar Game xD had to read some of that stuff at least twice
It was a bit confusing but you'll probably get it if you watch it twice, or until the end since it's a time-travel series after all (goes back on events)

For Code Geass: In some aspects it's like Deathnote. Smart guy winds up in a situation where he comes across a power that can finally make his goals and dreams for peace realized. He takes on a new identity and takes the world by storm, he eventually even begins to lead his own revolutionary group. His revolutionary group claims to be an order of justice who will wipe out all of those who abuse their power, mainly the country Britannia, and help out those who cannot help themselves, the country Japan, or in this anime, it is known as area 11. The people of Japan are also known as 11s and are discriminated against time from time.

That's as vague as I can be while describing the plot and not giving it away, it's really much, much, much deeper than that and the plot keeps you guessing. It's not predictable at all and the end is probably one of the best endings I've ever seen in all the anime, or any show for that matter that I've watched. Like it would be in my top 3.

I still say Penguindrum or Black Rock Shooter, they have complex and amazing plots, and both are outstanding anime, but Penguindrum goes off the charts.
