Akame ga kill isn't really a long anime. Imo

OT Blood+ have about 50-52 episodes I enjoy it if you haven't seen it you should.
Gurren Lagann isn't long but it's damn good and addictive.

Very true. Akame ga Kill is like 25 episodes, but you cannot deny that it is freaking brilliant! The OP has gotta watch it if he hasn't already.

Shakugan no Shana is 3 seasons long with all sorts of excitement, twists, and turns.
