Parasyte best anime this year. It's on episode 9 now. Amazing soundtracks, animation, story and characters. Gets really good at episode 5. Good luck

It kinda depends on what u r into. Personally I think that if u r picking just one u should pick a short one first so u can watch more after the first. So I would say Another, Code Breaker, or Btoom.

try another first.. it short (you can finish it in 1 or 2 days) and has a great plot!!

Monogatari series

Only watched the first series so far, it's unique and nice, but it depends on your tastes if you will enjoy it or not.

Magi

Seen the first season. Have yet to watch the second one. It was ok. Alibaba's and his best friend's arc was quite enjoyable.

Fate Stay Night

Great series.

- Story is pretty unique.

- Has a nice thematic undercurrent.

- The main character is pretty well written and gets a lot of character development throughout the whole series, can be annoying at first to some due to his reasonins being based on impossible and moral beliefs, but begins understanding more and more about how things really are and becomes quite the badass and enjoyable character.

- Has other pretty enjoyable, well written and engaging cast members

- Anime has great animation and soundtracks so that's a plus

Among other things, I'd really recommend the Fate series. Though, do note I'm not anime only and I read the FSN Visual Novel so I obviously know more than the anime is reaching right now.

Btooom!

Pretty enjoyable. Packed with some good animation and fights. Although, unfortunately, the first anime season ends on a cliff-hanger and we still haven't recieved a word about a second season.

Chaos:Head

Eeeh, the anime is a pretty bad adaption of the original VN from what I've heard. I've seen the anime and wasn't really good, but I haven't read the VN.

I'd also recommend these series:

- Berserk
- Kara no Kyoukai
- Shinsekai Yori
- Psycho Pass

Another is one of my favorite animes of all time and Zankyou no Terror is just amazing as well.

And I recommend you to read Code Breaker instead, the anime is short and really doesn't stay loyal to the manga.
