Oh boy try Code Geass!! There is a part one and two kind of like Naruto and Naruto shippuden, but the time difference is only a few months I believe. Basically it is a son of an Emperer living in the conquered Japan (called Area 11) and his plan is to take out his father's country (Britania) and make the world safe for his sister to live in (she is blind and has to be in a wheelchair)! It is pretty great to watch as it has fight scenes as well as strategic planning!!!!

Also maybe Sould Eater. Basically there are bad souls called Kishens and Witches as a Meister and weapon team (Meister is a weapon wielder while the weapon is someone who turns into a weapon) they hunt down evil souls. Some of the evil souls are noted from history like Jack the Ripper, but later on in the story those little easter eggs disapear! It follows three meister-weapon teams with the main characters being a girl Maka and she is partnered with a guy named Soul who transforms into a scyth XD!!!

I found them entertaining and you might too!

For action: Cowboy Bebop, Hunter X Hunter, Fate/Zero
For romance/comedy/action: Full Metal Panic
Sports: Slamdunk (One of the best out there)

Those are one of the most underrated animes out there
