I 100% agree with you the Anime needs a giant break then come back as a 25 episode seasons then another few months break.
Reason's why are it would let the Manga get further and let them build there budget up for better Animation because and aside from certain moments the Animation overall is bad. I'd seriously prefer the Animation from like the Alabasta arc compared with a lot of the the stuff we get now.
Again apart from certain moments the Anime overall is just bad right now. And that's because it's so close to the Manga. And Manga it's self is very slow paced and the Anime makes it even slower not a good combination.
It will never happen sadly but it needs to.
I do agree with Love Cook that only real way to enjoy the Anime now is in giant chunks but I think that tells me that the Anime isn't enjoyable weekly only in large portions. But the Manga I can live with reading one issue at a time not kneading to marathon a ton of issues for me to get enjoyment out of the series.
