Anime/manga's that have a shot at the top 3?

Now that naruto ended, if a manga/anime was to suddenly gain popularity and join in the top 3 which do you think it would be?

personally i think that it would be between magi(amazing story) and fairy tail which is pretty popular.

most other shows arent that good or isnt long enough to gain such popularity(tokyo ghoul, hunter x hunter, etc). on on another note i recently started reading "World Trigger" and im only at the beginning but i think it could have a shot, it seems pretty decent

what do you think?

None, big three died when Bleach fell out of popularity, plus the concept of the big three is a western thing, over in Japan, One Piece is king while everyone else fights for runner-up (technically third since Naruto still holds major influence, just nowhere near the influence One Piece has).

Not even going to lie: /thread. My thoughts exactly.

On top of this, the big 3 had/have something unique to them, conceptually. Most of the popular (but not big 3 popular) anime out there aren't nearly as unique as One Piece, Naruto and (to a certain extent) Bleach. That's why the big 3 are the big 3 in the first place - their uniqueness.

Bleach fell off the list about 2 year's back. I believe there was to many complaint's about the currant arc, so they just stopped airing the anime. although I'm pretty sure the manga is still running.

Well, I'm flattered by the /thread.

Though I don't believe it was because of their "aesthetic" that Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece got popular, though I will admit, that is why most ppl kept following it after so long. If I'm going to be honest, it was because of timing (I've presented this argument before but I don't remember where I did such thing, so I guess I'll start from square one)

Like I said before, the Big Three is a western concept, and they all became popular in the West thanks to one thing, Toonami. North American audiences (the bulk of foreign anime fans at the time and still today) were first presented to the Big three on Toonami, being that the behemoth better known as Dragon Ball Z had lost the influence it once had in the 90's, this was a chance for other series to take advantage of the open space DBZ left behind. And as we can see today, Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto took BIG advantage to the open space.

i wasnt changing the subject and am focusing on the topic i presented in the op. i consider the Big Three to be the 3 top selling manga's, thus a Big Three can and will always exist. based on that, everything i said up to this point has been on topic.

Bleach isn't even within the top ten in Japan anymore, and Naruto keeps fluctuating within the higher spots in sales. The concept is dead because they are no longer the big hitters in the industry. To me, the oligopoly that was the Big Three has been replace with an system where several anime series fight for the top spot, many being pushed out time after time (except One Piece, but we all know why).

Not being sarcastic, the question should just be, "What anime/manga series will become insanely popular next?"

But if I had to answer said question, my answer would be I don't know, since I can't predict what will hit it big next nor do any of the series I'm following seem to have potential.
